SysAdminDay 2025

System Administrator Appreciation Day, also known as Sysadmin Day, SysAdminDay, is an annual event. The event exists to show appreciation for the work of sysadmins and other IT workers. It is celebrated on the last Friday in July.

The work of System Administrators is often underestimated – because it is not "seen". Only during outages and other problems end-users become aware of the importance of the systems, managed by System Administrators, Operators, Engineers and Developers.
